I hate to sound like a fan boy, but I really am enjoying all of Dave’s interviews. Some like this one are with a person with whom I am really familiar (I have been a fan of John Hinderaker since back in the days when he was doing the HWX podcast which I sorely miss), some are people I haven’t heard before, but none has been a disappointment. I am also enjoying Dave’s monologues at the beginnings of the pods. It is a side of Dave I have not seen before. I have always respected his interviewing skills, but now I have a new respect for his ability to comment on current situations. This is a really good adjunct to the interview. This is certainly one of the better podcasts on Ricochet. I also like the ability to watch the YouTube video on the Ricochet site. I like to see the person being interviewed, especially DC MacAlister (did I spell that correctly?).
When those guys (Brain Ward) were on the radio on the weekends in Minneapolis it was appointment radio. Excellent. Funny and informative.
I like Brian Ward, but the latest episodes of HWX with Paul Happe just don’t have the zing that John brought to them. He was a great foil for John when they worked together.
John Hinderaker was really good as a guest host on Laura Ingrahm, too. Howie Carr has him on frequently.
Thanks for another great interview. Omar is similar to Obama. Much of his popularity in 2008 was based on his black identity. Those of us in Chicago who screamed that he was a far leftie were largely ignored by the MSM and even McCain. We still haven’t been allowed to see the video of Obama toasting Rashid Khalidi.
I was thinking the same thing when her identity politics was mentioned. Obama really brought nothing to the table except his youth, personality, and race.
I forget where I heard this. Supposedly the reason he ran so soon with no experience in the Senate was there was big Democrat money that just hated Hillary. I’d like to know who are those people are. He created one hell of a mess.
Omar is ridiculous. She’s just a stupid, un -studied, anti-Semitic, socialist version of Huey Long.
Rush has said this. Bill Clinton ran as a moderate and governed in his first two years as a leftie. The Dims lost the House for the first time in 40 years as a result. Rush thinks that a lot of Dims remembered this and quietly hated HRC in 2007-8. Obama lost every primary after the Rev Wright scandal emerged but the Dim hierarchy tilted towards BHO and gave him the nomination.
Heh @rufusrjones at least Huey Long offered a chicken in every Sunday pot! Now you’re making me worry that Omar has a brother or cousin or uncle or sister to run to take her place when she moves up to the Senate. I do think that Obama came off/comes off as a little more intelligent than Omar. Maybe its the in-breeding in the family? – oh me bad.
All she does is demonize the wealthy etc. She never tries to sound sophisticated about policy.
