   An economist friend of John’s, King Banaian posted a really long article about what a scam the utility system is. It’s unbelievable. That has to be the most under publicized rip off in government by a wide margin. 

   A million things would take care of themselves if we switched to compact thorium nukes in a decentralized grid. The Texas grid is effectively decentralized and it gives them all kinds of advantages.

   The people pushing back against these environmentalist ideas are doing some of the most important working today (the only more important thing being defending free speech in the west). The proponents of fighting back against ‘climate change’ fail on so many counts.

   1. While there is probably some anthropomorphic global warming, it will take 100s of years for the seas to rise very much
   2. Apparently we have greater food yields with slightly higher temperatures and are generally wealthier with a little bit of warming.
   3. If the warming (or man made climate changing) is a problem, the proposed solutions are wildly costly, mostly don’t work, and possibly perpetuate poverty among the poorest of us
   4. When the don’t perpetuate poverty among the poorest of us, it seems they only want Western Europe and Most importantly the USA to cut back on emitting CO2, which of course doesn’t actually do anything to really reduce the carbon levels
   5. These environmentalists typically have animosity to the only possible solution out there – nuclear power
   6. Given that the timeline to catastrophic problems is 100s of years we have plenty of time to develop solutions – specifically we will probably have economical nuclear fusion this century
   7. Typically, the big time global warming fighters don’t seem to do anything in their personal lives to cut back, they instead want to impose costs and changes of behavior on the rest of us for a negligible affect

   I’ve heard that from a dependable source as well.
