As compared to voting for Mitt Romney again, which of the following would be less painful when crammed into your eyeball?
A.) A soldering Iron
B.) An old rusty roofing nail (with Tetanus)
C.) An unwashed Meathook
D.) An unholy hybrid of the above
You want questions, I’ve got questions.
Really enjoyed this episode. The mix of serious observation and comical outbursts was just to my liking. Thanks, guys. (Hope your dad gets out of the hospital soon, Stephen.)
Oh, this will definitely come up in next week’s Free For All.
Thank you, Leslie!
Key take-aways this week:
“Come with me when I have to go to Coinstar to get money to buy groceries. I’ll show you oppressed.”
“Let’s make Godwin’s law obligatory.”
The use of “Springtime for Hitler” was brilliant.
Geek pedantry point: it was Captain America punching Hitler in the face, which was nicely referenced in the USO Tour section of the first Captain America movie.
“We have to have something to measure against other than ‘you suck less than the other guy'”. – Yup. Get rid of Boehner and McConnell as top leadership for starters.
“If you’re the anarchy guy in your 20’s…”- good paraphrase of Winston Churchill there.
You want a suggestion: Do a show where you team up with Zo Nation.
“The Left doesn’t care about free speech.”
Agreed. They will silence us by force whenever they have the power, and they’re power grows with every generation. President Obama is a glimpse into America’s future: lawlessness, demonization of half our country’s population by its political leaders, corruption out in the open, etc. As bold as Obama has been, the next Democrat in power will be bolder… because Obama got away with everything.
Great podcast.
If Breitbart or PJTV hired this guy to cover the never ending train wreck of crises in the news these days, the show would probably match The Walking Dead ratings. Grab your popcorn:
On the “To Do” List for a Republican Congressional majority, in addition to damage control vis a vis The Lightgiver, should be enacting legislation that spells out a positive agenda. A replacement for Obamacare, energy development of Federal lands and in our coastal waters, somehow unwinding “too big to fail” and the Consumer Protection whatchamacallit in Dodd-Frank, putting the brakes on the economy-crushing EPA regulatory overreach, etc. Sure all these kinds of bills will get vetoed, but then who is the obstructionist in the ointment, and our candidate for POTUS will have something to run on.
Various Republicans have proposed all kinds of legislation in recent years that actually has value. My Congressman Ted Poe, for example, has proposed selling federal lands back to the people and applying the proceeds to the public debt. But Boehner doesn’t promote or publicize those initiatives.
Without the Presidency, the House is more significant than the Senate because of its supposed budget authority. What have they done with it? Nothing. That’s what you can expect in the next two years under President Obama: nothing.
Republicans won’t stonewall the next Attorney General appointment for long because they lack the PR competence to combat Democrats’ accusations. It will be a repeat of the debt ceiling and budget episodes.
Meanwhile, what have they done about the IRS scandal? Fast and Furious? Benghazi?
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and other leading Democrats are demonstrably not limited by morality. They regularly lie and demonize. They obviously don’t care about Constitutional limits or legal constraints. Anyone who is not restrained by morals can only be restrained by power. The more power Republicans allow Democrats to exercise without serious consequence, the bolder and uglier liberal actions will become. These people are not merely mistaken. They are evil.
The point is that, unlike the last six years (starting next Congress, hopefully), Republicans will have the ability to actually pass bills, because they won’t go to the Senate and die there — making it more difficult for the MSM to proclaim that the Republicans don’t have an agenda or anything to offer on the positive side of the ledger, and we need to make the most of that opportunity leading up to the Presidential election in ’16. So, in addition to stopping Obama for the last 2 years of his time, we need to at least show the American voting public something that indicates what we would offer them. And the added benefit is that it would force Obama to actually take a stand on the issues by vetoing legislation — thereby showing what his party opposes.
Is Katy Perry that gullible?

Hooking up with Brand fits the pattern.
I prefer her quirky but subdued doppleganger.
Guys, great conversation, but please please don’t speak so loudly! You don’t need to shout!
Can you tell me the song you play at the beginning of your Free for All segment? I’m sure it’s just me, but “Free for All” in YouTube didn’t help at all.
Helicopter parenting does lead to adults incapable of even seeing a dead animal on the road without wondering when the government i arriving to take it away. Canada has the same political correctness. As said, the right don’t spend a great deal of time thinking about gay stuff. Go ahead and do it. What I enjoy is now the gay pride parade funding is being removed because, hey, you guys have marriage, our premier of ontario is gay, who cares, so where is the oppression? Pay for your own parade.
I applaud Russell Brand for telling people not to bother voting. It’s not people like James Delingpole who are going to take advice from Russell Brand. Anybody who lets Brand be their guiding light would have voted Socialist, Communist, Labor, or Green. I call it a win for the good guys if 10,000 Brand fans follow his advice.
We need more of this show. Seriously. Like two or three times a week.
