We have finally reached the end of the Game of Thrones saga, ie; A Song of Ice and Fire. James and Toby break down the final episode and give some thoughts on the series as well.

Editor’s Note: This is obviously the last episode of the ThronesCast podcast, but we are thrilled to announce that Toby and James will be continuing on with a new show called London Calling that will attempt to explain British and European politics for American audiences. Should be fun! Look for it in about two weeks (at the most).

Looking forward to the return of the London Calling podcast! Their Brexit stuff was great.

@texmoor is correct. This would be the return of London Calling.

Try to get it back before – or just after – the European Union vote please.

This is good news, indeed. I always enjoyed the byplay between these two on the old Delingpole podcast, and as a non GOT fan, I missed out on their most recent joustings.

Again haven’t watched any of it but M. Thatcher coming in at the end to take everything over and get it running smoothly would have been a fantastic ending.

There should always be a show featuring Toby Young. What made London Calling go away before?

Guys, the Night’s Watch doesn’t exist solely to defend against the Night King. He had been gone for thousands of years. They defend against the Wildlings.

There still are Wildlings, though their numbers are seriously reduced. Nevertheless, it makes sense to keep a small Night’s Watch in being for continuity of tradition and maintenance of facilities. The Wildlings are going to reproduce, and will be a problem again.

Finally, the Night’s Watch is a useful outlet for criminals and other undesirables.

What a complete let-down. All that money, all that extraordinary craft, and that’s the story D & D slap together.

Who would think 90 minutes of story could be as inane as “The Long Night”, but they did it.

Guess I’m a chump after committing time as a viewer to a final episode as lame as that.

Hooray! I don’t care at all about GoT but I was a regular listener to the old London Calling podcast, and I’ve missed it.
