Are we a classical civic republic depending on and dedicated to promoting a virtuous citizenry deliberately, or are we a classical liberal republic closer to Rand Paul’s ideal world? This is not a new debate, but it has fresh salience at the moment.

Even though I am a ROFTer, I have not yet read the Ahmari article or comments about it. I am usually at least a month or so behind on my FT reading. Found the podcast interesting for your thoughts and especially agree that we/conservatives should be spending most of our time going after the other side then our own. For instance, why should I have to explain my vote for Donald Trump – you explain how you could possibly vote for Hillary Clinton. Each day proves this more and more true.
Have really enjoyed Mr. Johnson’s reporting on the Noor trial and verdict.
Now could we have a good juicy discussion of the suit against Oberlin!?
