Greg Corombos of Radio America and Ian Tuttle of National Review applaud Ben Carson for finally ending his presidential campaign … we think. And they react to Trump’s latest explanation for his rough CNN interview.

I’m with Greg. Romney’s universal praise for all American Presidents was exactly the kind of unforced error that so dismayed movement conservatives last time around.

If he had said instead something like, “The Republican Party, the Party of Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, has been most successful, most itself, when it has nominated men of exceptional character and principle—the kind of men who call out what’s best in us all” it would have made a world of difference.

Now I fear many Trump are being reminded of often it seems establishment leaders pull their punches against Obama, while saving their contempt for the base.
