Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
Happy New Year! Join Jim and Greg as they cheer the government making the right choice to void a major penalty for distilleries that produced hand sanitizer to meet demand in the early months of the pandemic. They also discuss President Trump’s phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, in which Trump said Georgia officials had not done enough to investigate voting irregularities and said he needed to find nearly 12,000 votes. And they have fun with the total lunacy of House Democrats removing gendered language and Rep. Emanuel Cleaver ending his open prayer of the new session by saying “Amen and A woman.”

A while back, there was a song, “Wo Wo Wo”. Time for a remake!
If you have a Facebook or Google or Twitter account, and you login to your account to comment etc, they know it’s you. Using a VPN accomplishes nothing.
Geeze, Jim, get with the time! Nobody can be a person, because son is sexist!
Depends who they are.
If its a government agency or the social media site you’re logging into, then yes, someone could be watching.
If you’re trying to hide some of your activity from your ISP or a bystander snooping on your wireless link, then a VPN can be useful.
They acted like if you access your online bank account using a VPN, they don’t know it’s you. Which is silly. You logged into your bank account!
In his Georgia call, I understood Trump to be saying that, given that he believes over 100,000 illegal votes were cast in Georgia, it should be easy to find a mere 12,000 to flip the election.
I was puzzled by Jim and Greg’s references to Lin Wood. I thought it had been pretty well established that he is actually working for the Democrats, to reduce Republican turnout.
Though I see Cockburn in The Spectator U.S. suggests Wood has merely lost his mind:

There’s a reason why we say “Jim Geraghty is always wrong”, not “Greg Corombos is always wrong.”
Greg immediately grasped what Trump meant when he asked for (less than) 12,000 votes: he believes (and he is probably right) that’s just a small fraction of the illegal votes cast for Biden in the Presidential election in Georgia.
Like others in the Polite Loser or Unilateral Disarmament wing of the Republican Party, Jim constantly shifts the goal posts on election fraud:
It didn’t happen (so we shouldn’t investigate it).
There’s not enough proven fraud to switch the election to Trump (so we shouldn’t investigate it).
It’s too late to change the election (so we shouldn’t investigate it).
Even if the damage can’t be undone, it’s still enormously important to put a spotlight on election fraud. It would deflate Biden’s supposed “mandate”, something every conservative should want. It would deter the Democrats from further vitiating ballot security, which is their clearly stated intention.
