David French of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America pop some popcorn as Democrats will likely have to eliminate one of their members from the Senate Judiciary Committee and the one with the least seniority – California’s Kamala Harris – is furiously fighting to stay on the panel.  Of course, all of this is assuming Republicans will win the Mississippi Senate runoff Tuesday, in a race that has Republicans increasingly nervous.  They also roll their eyes as Ohio Gov. John Kasich is seriously considering another White House bid and David explains why Kasich is the answer to a question no one is asking.  And they shake their heads as Twitter starts banning users for “misgendering” or “deadnaming” transgenders online and perpetuates efforts to stifle all debate on the issue.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no!

In an election between Spartacus and Trump, the only obvious ethical option for me would be to vote Third Party.  Would you rather that I vote for Kasich-Hickenlopper, or Libertarian?

In 1912, the Republican Candidate came in third.  Taft was actually the spoiler who prevented TR from beating Woodrow Wilson.

There needs to be a primary challenge to Trump in the primaries, and a Third Party Candidate in the General Election If Trump is renominated.  If the Republican Party has become the Trump Party, then it is time for the Republican Party to be placed on the ash heap of history, along with the Whigs.

In 1912, the egomaniacal TR jumped in to try to take back the Presidency from his hand-picked successor, because Taft had proven to be more a conservative than a progressive like TR.

In 2020, Reagan, being a practical man, would support Trump.

The interesting thing about Never Trumpers is that they are conservative on manners and decorum, but they are not political conservatives as such.

They simply had no problem accepting the prospect of Pres. Hillary or liberal control of the Supreme Court or mass immigration making the Democrats the permanent majority party.
