Yes, there are potential misuses – there’s your next Between Two Scorpions novel plot. But for prosthetics alone, the need for an AI interface makes perfect sense. And yes, as a computer security guy I know how careful we’ll need to be about it – we’ve already seen relatively simple implants – insulin pumps, pacemakers – hijacked. Doesn’t mean they aren’t lifesavers.
