Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
Join Jim and Greg as they welcome NPR’s admission that it failed listeners in its favorable interview of a radical author who thinks property ownership is a form of white supremacy, although they wonder why such a person was ever invited onto NPR in the first place. They also roll their eyes as New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo warns President Trump he would need an army to return safely to New York City. And they try to figure out why Nancy Pelosi decided to launch a conspiracy theory about her flouting of the San Francisco COVID restrictions instead of just letting the story die.

We need to “set up” more Dems.
DeBlasio can’t run again next year due to term limits. Rumor is his wife will run.
I guess it’s possible that Jesse Helms said something like that about Obama, but he died 4 months before Obama was first elected, 6 1/2 months before Obama took office.
They must really want to stay in that mayor’s mansion.
It’s rent controlled.
Probably $0/month for the mayor and the mayor’s family, right? Maybe including mistresses etc too.
Where else could you get such a sweet deal on Manhattan housing?
So Nancy Pelosi’s defense on being caught at a hair salon – is that she is so out of touch, that she didnt know the world has been closed for 6 months?
Does she not realize the importance of the paperwork that crosses her desk? Does she actually read any of it?
That’s what servants…. errr, staff…. are for!
Andrew Cuomo should be careful what he wishes for, lest he receive it. I believe it’s still true that a few very wealthy individuals and families pay a big share of the taxes for NY as a whole and NYC in particular. Trump is one of those. If many more of them flee to Florida or elsewhere, NY and NYC are going to have problems that Cuomo – and De Blasio – will be unable to fix.
It’s like the story of the men going to lunch:
continued due to word count…
If enough Trumps and people like him, flee New York, it’s going to be bad for New York.
Although he has not previously threatened physical violence, Gov. Cuomo has for years has been using his official position to tell those of us who do not agree with him that we are not welcome in the state. I used to live in New York state. He thinks he is emperor who can decide who is and who is not to be permitted to enter the state and participate in civic life. The implicit threat against the President (or any other individual) is only a small step from his previous position.
Maybe if he ends up with a state full of non-tax-payers he’ll realize something. Or, maybe not.
