Jim is back!  Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America celebrate Jim’s return from the National Review cruise with three crazy martinis.  First, they marvel that President Trump is having trouble finding someone willing to serve as his chief of staff.  They also grumble as USA Today decides to tarnish Kyler Murray’s Heisman Trophy win by reporting that he had a few tweets that were unkind toward gays  – when he was just 15 years old.  And they roll their eyes as Time magazine unveils their ten finalists for “Person of the Year.”

This is an exceptionally silly podcast.  Basically, it’s very premature.  Now, if Donald Trump hasn’t found a chief of staff by the end of the year, you can start talking about how people are reluctant to take the job.

Realistically, there are probably hundreds of thousands of people who would take the job.  It automatically moves you into the major leagues of politics, even if you’re in the job only a short time.  Whatever troubles you have will be laid at the feet of Donald Trump, so there is simply nothing to lose.

The hangup is getting Donald Trump to choose you
