Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
Join Jim and Greg as they welcome Massachusetts voters rejecting the Senate bid of Rep. Joe Kennedy III, who didn’t have a reason to run other than being a Kennedy, and helping dismantle the stupid notion that America has a royal family. They also unload on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for flouting COVID restrictions while constantly lecturing everyone else. And they hammer local D.C. political figures for wanting to “remove, relocate, or contextualize” the Jefferson Memorial and Washington Monument among other sites – and call out the Washington Post for pretending there was never a call to remove or relocate them.

What does it say that the first thing I hear when playing this is a commercial for Biden and Harris?
Let them pay for our entertainment. They aren’t going to get any adherents on this site.
That is what I was thinking. It was an independent group, “Not paid for by any candidate” etc., but really missing their target audience.
Yeah I agree that it’s a good thing they’re wasting their money, but it is damned annoying to hear.
I get Spanish language ads. I know only enough Spanish to identify if someone is speaking that language. The ad targeting is no perfect.
When I had satellite internet in Arizona, the “home base” for the internet company was in Southern California and their IPs looked like all of their users/customers were in Southern California. So we all would get ads targeted to Southern California, including on these live streams/podcasts.
Well it’s not a complete waste, in that it helps keep some people employed. And the ad placement consultants etc get a cut no matter how badly they position things.
Remember: Just because Democrats are hypocrites for not following their own restrictions, and they deserve to be publicly rebuked for it, that does NOT mean that the restrictions were reasonable in the first place. It’s a Sisyphean task trying to get some to understand that.
