Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America appreciate at least one prominent Democrat facing justice as former Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane is sentenced to jail. They also wince as the Cook Political Report predicts Democrats will win back the U.S. Senate. And we unload on a new PSA showing schoolkids berating a classmate because his dad didn’t vote.

Highly doubtful. There are seven toss up senate contests. Four of those are pretty solid Republican at this point – FL, MO, PA and NC. Two are toss ups- NV and NH with NH leaning Republican. IN goes to the Democrats at this point. That would be 51 GOP Senate seats (in a tough year because the GOP has more difficult seats to defend). The GOP could end up with 52. You can easily do it yourself rather than take the word of talking heads.

    The collapse of Evan Bayh

“In the three months since he got in, Bayh’s opponents have unleashed a torrent of attacks on the former senator: for reports that he rarely set foot in Indiana until he decided he wanted back in the Senate, for backing unpopular Obama policies, and for trading on his political connections to become really rich after he left office. Bayh’s once-commanding lead over Republican Todd Young has nearly evaporated

“But his 20-plus point lead is down to 6 points, according to the two most recent independent polls of the race. Shortly before those surveys, Young’s campaign announced his internal polling had him up a single point. Multiple Democratic operatives say their own internal polling finds Bayh still leading outside the margin of error.

However close it is, Republicans say the momentum is with Young, a hard-charging former Marine Corps officer who jumps at any chance to contrast his own background with the scion of Indiana politics.”

The Senate is more important than the President. I will be there for Toomey on election day! I know they have been disappointing but regardless of the executive outcome, the raw intensity of the Trump phenomena should have an impact on the Republicans in the Senate and House. If Hillary wins with less than 50%, they should feel fairly safe in going after her like rabid dogs.

Is there no meme that highlights the idiocy of Kathleen Kane going to jail and HRC skating free?

I’m too tired but someone, help…
