Join Jim and Greg as they react to former CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield believing that the COVID outbreak probably started with a lab leak in Wuhan. They also discuss Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey saying President Biden is obviously not taking the border crisis seriously when he appoints someone like Vice President Kamala Harris to focus on the problem. And they point out all the ways Biden is nothing more than an opportunistic hypocrite when he now agrees that the Senate filibuster is a “Jim Crow relic.”

Maybe they’re still so far from determining where the virus came from, because they’re just refusing to look at some possibilities?

Does everyone get the same ads? Or are they microtargeting LDS General Conference on BYUTV just to me? Everyone is welcome, of course, but it is of particular interest only to latter-day saints.

I’m using a VPN, so I sometimes get very strange-sounding foreign-language ads.    But at present the VPN is just pretending to be Montreal, so they’re just French.

I used to listen to the Three Martini Lunch every day, without fail. I haven’t listened lately.  I did this for the better part of the ten years that they have run.  Frankly, other podcasts had crowded out the Three Martini Lunch.  This morning I was listening to the Three Martini Lunch where Election Denier Mike Lindell’s “My Pillow” was advertised.  What!

How about BLM, would they be available to place an ad?  Would you run an ad by AOC?  What if David Duke wants to run an ad about his current business, whatever it is?  What if Alex Jones wants to advertise “InfoWars” on the Three Martini Lunch?  What if Q-Anon wanted to run an ad?  What if NAMBLA wanted to run an ad?  How about the American Nazi Party, or the Klan?  Most of them are worse than Mike Lindell, but my point is that there must be some minimal standards as to who you will accept ads from.  By his behavior, Mike Lindell falls far below that standard.  Shame on the Three Martini Lunch.  You know better, and you took Lindell’s money anyhow.

I went to iTunes.  In my prior review of the Three Martini Lunch, I had called it the Three Martini Lunch the second best daily podcast available today, and I gave it 5 stars.  I now gave it 1 star, only because I could not give it “no” stars.  And I wrote a new review noting that the Three Martini Lunch had joined the Alex Jones’ branch of “Election Deniers” by their acceptance of ads from Mike Lindell’s “My Pillow.”

I then deleted one of the first half-dozen podcasts I used to listen to, and the first one that I listened to every single day.  Shame on the Three Martini Lunch.  Shame, shame, shame.

Nobody is surprised, Gary.  Nor do they care.

The only thing that might have surprised anyone is that you didn’t describe them as “pro-insurrection.”  Yes, even though you’ve claimed you won’t use that term any more.  But you’ve gone back on things like that in the past.

With all due respect, are you an Election Denier?

    More like Election Realist.

It’s very difficult to believe you’re a licensed attorney if you don’t understand things like a “certification” really means nothing as far as actual veracity/accuracy.  What’s next, are you going to tell us that people who take an oath in court never still lie?

Hey, I first want to apologize.  After commenting, I realized that asking a fellow Ricochetti if he or she were an “Election Denialist” could be seen as being offensive.  If I had it to do over again, I would have said that former AG Bill Barr found no evidence of substantial vote fraud that would have changed the result of the election, and would have asked if you agreed with him.

Having said that, I would note that certification raises the presumption that the vote totals are accurate.  The burden is on those who disagree to go to Court to overturn the certification.

Given that all 60 Court challenges have failed before 90 judges, I conclude that the evidence is doggone near conclusive that AG Barr was correct, that there is no evidence of systematic vote fraud sufficient to overturn the fact that Biden was lawfully elected.

I remain unconvinced that Barr or anyone else in a position of significant authority, actually looked into the election very much, at least not beyond the level of certain other people telling them everything was hunky-dory without any serious confidence it was true, and perhaps even with confidence that it WASN’T true.

The biggest issue you still seem to miss is that certification actually means basically nothing.  It’s like claiming someone who takes an oath in court never still lies.   To re-use a favorite phrase of my invention, no great hand comes down from the sky to force someone who takes that oath, to actually tell the truth. Or like notarizing.  I could write a statement saying the sky is orange, and get it notarized.  Notarizing doesn’t prove a document is true.  It just means that the person PRESENTING the document CLAIMS that it’s true, and that there can be legal consequences if it’s not.   (Legal consequences for the document-presenter, not the notary.) A secretary of state etc could “certify” a ham sandwich, to borrow a phrase.  One difference is that there is no legal accountability if a secretary of state does so.  Or, if they certify a fraudulent election.  The most that could happen is they get voted out, or removed by a governor etc.

I haven’t listened yet, but in the past I have gotten very targeted ads on the 3 Martini Lunch. I am in North Carolina, near the city of Charlotte and I have gotten ads for private schools in Charlotte. Also, in the run up to the election I was getting a LOT of ads for Biden and for democrats running for very local seats. I have even gotten ads in Spanish (I am a translator and I do a lot of research online of Spanish technical terminology.)
