Join Jim and Greg as they are stunned by the Iranian World Cup team refusing to sing their national anthem and the captain directly stating that the players support the protesters back home. That worked out so well for them in 2016.
If the Democrats really thought Trump would be easier to beat in 2024, they wouldn’t be tearing him down all the time!
But they might be tearing him down with the left hand while donating funds with the right hand. Because they want him to be nominated, but not to win.
And if Trump loses the nomination, all their work and money is wasted.
That’s why the Democrats normally wait until a Republican is safely nominated to deploy their best pseudo-scandals and October surprises.
For after the nomination, sure. But before, they might be inclined to “support” the candidate to whom they figure they can do the most damage in that way.
In that case, if they want Trump to be the nominee, they should hold off persecuting him until he becomes the nominee. But that’s exactly the opposite of what they are doing.
Maybe they won’t do the actual indictment if they think he’d be the easiest to beat.
