Rob Long is in for Jim. join Rob and Greg as they cheer efforts to end changing the clocks twice a year and get a kick out of the fierce rivalry between activists trying to put an end to time changes. They also groan as inflation swells at the worst pace in more than 30 years. And they listen to another radical whom Loudoun County, Virginia, paid half a million dollars to stress that schools are no longer about learning.

I think an admirable compromise is to fall back every autumn, and skip the spring forward. When in a few years conditions are intolerable, give everyone a day off for a reset.

Except he misses the point that arguing over standard/daylight time shows that “things are returning to normal.”

The “leisure class” has always had spare time to feud over such things, most other people are wondering how they’re going to afford food, and winter heating…

Or if they will have a job because of Brandon’s “No jab, no job” mandate. That was sad when Rob trotted out that line.

@gregcorombos I’ve heard that the way the national law is written, states can stay on standard by just telling the feds that’s what they are doing. To stay on daylight saving time requires Congressional approval. That’s why twenty so states want to do that but just can’t do it on their own.
