Hey guys. Let’s not be so quick to make fun of a Hollywood type who tells the left what they need to hear. We need more, regardless of what we may think of them personally, who are brave enough to tell it like it is. I applaud Kanye West.
The film you were looking for was The Killers, based on Hemingway short story, directed by Don Siegel (Dirty Harry). There are rumors that the politically liberal Siegel had Reagan slap Angie Dickinson to harm his political career. Another interesting factoid is that the 1964 film was meant to be a made for TV movie for NBC, but because of the violent content it was sent to the theaters.
Jim and Greg come off as kind of dopey here. When you’re dying of thirst in the desert, you’ll gladly drink out of a mud puddle, if that’s all you have! The list of “black entertainment celebrity conservatives“ is not long.
Too, we should give credit to Kanye West for refusing to engage in the kind of groveling apologies we normally see from celebrities who are caught straying from progressive dogma.
Maybe that’s the problem we have in Hollywood. We come off as snobbish as though there’s a committee looking you over for membership in our club when the reality is we need every vote we can get. We are dying of thirst, so let’s be grateful and welcoming to all.
