They also fail to see why President Donald Trump keeps sticking his neck out for Paul Manafort, since the charges are separate from the Russia collusion investigation. FWIW, my podcast today opened with a cheery, 30 second add for the wonders of Planned Parenthood. Has the Aryan Brotherhood bought airtime as well? (Can’t imagine anyone would have a problem with that considering the precedence set.)
When did y’all start getting so many ads breaking up the podcast? It’s almost like trying to watch a video on YouTube with 20 commercial breaks. :/ The spoken ones aren’t NEARLY so intrusive.
What level of membership do I need to get rid all these new obnoxious commercials? Starting to be unlistenable if I need to stay near the machine to jump past them.
Trump‘s criticism of the Paul Manafort prosecution echoes that of Alan Dershowitz.
As Dershowitz has put it on a number of occasions, the prosecutors are squeezing Manafort to go after Trump. Now, when a defendant is squeezed this way — what is the threat, 320 years in prison for tax evasion? — he may “sing“, but like a man on the rack, he may also “compose“; i.e., tell the prosecutor/torturer exactly what he wants to hear.
Unlike Jim and Chad, Trump also understands that the general public does not clearly distinguish all these different legal cases. If Manafort is convicted of anything, a lot of people, including but not limited to Trump haters, will think it proves Trump is guilty of something, even if they’re not sure what.
