The problem for Rhode Island is there are states that have multiple counties bigger than it — even in New York, you can drive up to 500 miles from Montaulk to Niagara Falls and still be in New York. So other states locking Rhode Islanders inside their own state offers them far fewer options for alternate in-state travel or summer vacation destinations.
My shoes are bigger than Rhode Island. 😁
And yet there is still more in Rhode Island than Delaware.
