Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America rib Democrats for their new “Better Deal” agenda which looks a lot like their old agenda. The hysterics continue at Pennsylvania Avenue following the resignation of Sean Spicer and the hiring of Anthony Scaramucci, with more possible changes on the horizon for Jeff Sessions and other characters; Jim and Greg remind Americans of Scaramucci’s not-so-conservative political past. It’s unclear what the Twitterverse expected from Discovery Channel’s “Great Gold vs. Great White” event in which Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps “raced” a great white shark, but they are outraged by the use of CGI in place of a real shark — much to Jim and Greg’s amusement.

Do you guys have any control over the ads that run after the podcast?
I got the Fungicure ‘talking crotch’ ad, give that one a listen sometime.
I often get an ad from WestJet to fly to Nashville.

Shark week, jumps the shark… Its the joke I wanted to make all week as well.
I don’t think I want to hear that ad. That’s interesting though, because it confirms what I started wondering a couple of days ago: there’s some mechanism that inserts different ads for different subscribers. What made me think this was that this past week I’ve been hearing Hoosier Lottery ads- which don’t interest me, but would probably confuse people in 49 states who may not even know what a Hoosier is. :)
Yes, I live in Calgary.
Interesting- I listen via itunes. Is that what you use? It seems like they use your IP to stick in custom ads. If someone had asked me 2 weeks ago, I’d have assumed everyone heard identical podcasts.
PS: Don’t know if Greg Corombus will see this, but sharks are fish.
When he said they aren’t, I expect he was thinking of dolphins.

No, I just listen via the website. Clicking on the links here. I dont like ITunes (or Apple in general) I prefer not to use their services if I can help it.
