Jim Geraghty of National Review and Greg Corombos of Radio America cheer Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for utterly rejecting the suggestion from NBC’s Savannah Guthrie that Russian meddling may have tipped the 2016 election to President Trump – and explaining what really did happen. They also welcome the U.S. Supreme Court siding with the Trump administration in requiring asylum seekers to apply for asylum in any country they enter on the way to the U.S. And they pop the popcorn as the Biden campaign takes a swing at Elizabeth Warren and Marianne Williamson complains that the Democrats are meaner to her than conservatives. Finally, they figure out ways to tolerate a three-hour Democratic presidential debate tonight.

I feel sorry for her, having to share a last name (albeit unrelated) with Susan Rice.

We all have some of those, and some are related. How about you? Proud of old Jeff Davis? What other Davises are there?

Actually, my cousin Jeff is a wonderful person. He’s helped save the vision of many people, including some he never met because I told them to find a doctor who went to the same college he did, where they taught more about the musculature of the eyes etc, and knew how to correct problems that other optometrists had no clue about.

I think the purpose of the Russian “meddling” was not to support Trump. I think Russia, like most people, assumed that Hillary wold win. Russia just wanted to sow dissension. They have succeeded beyond their greatest hopes. Democrats would not acknowledge that they lost to Trump because they nominated a horrible candidate, so they had to come up with excuses and Russia was the biggest one.
