It’s only nine days ’til Christmas but the news keeps coming and the Three Martini Lunch is ready!  Join Jim and Greg today as they thoroughly enjoy watching Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace call out former FBI Director James Comey for a long string of statements that have been contradicted by the inspector general’s report on the Justice Department and FBI abusing the FISA process.  They also roll their eyes as Democratic Rep. Jeff Van Drew looks for a political lifeline by switching to the Republican Party after announcing he will not vote to impeach President Trump, and the GOP appears ready to accept the man they recently branded a socialist.  And Jim is actually rendered speechless for a moment as disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein insists he isn’t getting enough credit for all he’s done for women.

Sounds like we’re dealing with a lot of people who are not even nodding acquaintances with reality.

The guys come off as really naïve this time around.

Weinstein‘s position on women is essentially the same as what feminists were saying about Bill Clinton when he got in trouble for molesting women.

In a utilitarian calculus, Weinstein and Clinton are both regarded as showing a net benefit to women, or at least to the feminist cause.

Jim and Greg come off as even more naïve where Democratic Rep. Jeff Van Drew is concerned:  a Democratic backbencher who votes with his party; I’m shocked, shocked!

If he is willing to join the minority, just to shed Nancy Pelosi’s reins, I say more power to him.

Harvey Weinstein’s problem is that he could only put women in movies.  Not like with Bill Clinton whom Nina Burleigh for one, the former Columbia professor and Newsweek writer who stated she would happily perform oral sex on him to thank him for helping to keep abortion legal.

Don’t forget the big bucks Harvey gave feminist organizations and politicians.

It would be fun to track all of them down and demand they return the money!

Yes but that’s still not as good as vetoing ant-abortion legislation, putting liberal judges on the Supreme Court, etc.
