What are the chances this “good economic news” gets adjusted down, in the future? As we often see with employment numbers, etc?
For some pushback against Jim being surprised that Breyer should have known better than to expect a secret to be kept in Washington I’ll offer this. For years I’ve been hearing how good the Supreme Court is at keeping secrets. The cases are decided at the end of the arguments but not released for months. Yes, the Court is an anomaly in this regard but maybe Breyer naively expected better.
