I’m trying to figure out exactly how wrong Jim Geraghty is today. It’s not easy.
But the idea that the violence didn’t succeed because the government business went on as usual, is bogus. They stopped considering the disputed election results, which means the violence – which I think was instigated/directed/whatever by groups like BLM/Antifa regardless of how many actual Trump supporters were also present – succeeded. Congress knuckled under.
I’m debating whether to listen to this one knowing how wrong Jim is concerning Trump. He probably thinks it is all Trump’s fault. I’ll stick it at the bottom of the queue.
Probably just as well. I can’t say it was awful, but it wasn’t useful either.
The Three Martini Lunch is my favourite podcast, and I never miss it.
A criticism: you have six minutes (6.00) of outrage before you mention the dead woman.
Do better.
Yours truly,

The politically important thing about the Capitol incident, being comprehensively and studiously missed, is: what use willl be made of it?
I could be wrong, but I expect it to be used a *pretext for a crackdown* on non-Liberal/Progressive speech, and demonetising of its web presence.
For the past few years, progressives have shown themselves very, very vindictive in victory. (For instance, the persecution of small-time caterers for purportedly anti gay-marriage statements which were in any case not volunteered but which the persecutors elicited by entrapment.)
On the plus side, now bakers can just close up shop and collect government money.
