Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 40 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
Join Jim and Greg as they set the stage for today’s off-year elections that will have big consequences in states like Virginia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey and more.
Then they kick off the martinis with a focus on Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds endorsing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president. How much does her endorsement matter and will we actually get a competitive primary?
They also shudder at the news that our annual interest payments on the national debt are now more than $1 trillion per year. It’s an issue that both parties have intentionally ignored for decades and the consequences are going to be ugly.
Finally, they roll their eyes as Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz insists that lousy polls for President Biden over the past two years are merely a “messaging issue.”

Reynolds should have been bashing Biden in her endorsement, not Trump.
And Trump should exclusively be bashing Biden, not DeSantis.
One difference is that Trump and DeSantis are both candidates for the office, Reynolds isn’t. It would be normal for the candidates to criticize each other, because that’s part of how they claim to be the better choice.
donald trump has bashed Reynolds in ways that make that not possible
Trump patched it up with Little Rocket Man, not to mention Ted Cruz, so …
Jim and Greg seem to be oblivious to the fact that, the way the abortion issue is breaking, it’s DeSantis, not Trump, who is unelectable nationally.
