Start the week off right by joining us for the Three Martini Lunch. Today, Jim and Greg celebrate the U.S. forces who tracked down and eliminated Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the ISIS leader responsible for some of the most heinous and grisly murders, rapes, and oppression we’ve seen in recent times. They also pile on the Washington Post for offering a much softer headline and obituary for al-Baghdadi than was appropriate. Jim and Greg are pleasantly surprised to see liberal political street fighter Rahm Emanuel begging Democrats to stop pushing Medicare for All. And as California Democratic Rep. Katie Hill announces her upcoming resignation, they explain why this story is disturbing on virtually every level.

Please, Jay Farner with Quicken Loans is going to bust my eardrums! Is there anything you can do to equalize the sound?
Has the media jumped on Trump’s “he died like a dog” line yet?
A dog should never die like al-Baghdadi certainly deserved to.
“Donald Trump insults dogs!!!”
Perhaps “cornered rat” might have been more apropos …
Some people keep pet rats, too.
Of course, there’s something WRONG with them… But they might still vote…
We enjoyed having several pairs of pet rats during our son’s childhood. Calm, friendly, quiet.
No matter who the Washington Post blames for the headline fiasco, the real problem is that the atmosphere at the Washington Post led someone to believe that putting out such a headline would be acceptable. That the headline fiasco occurred is a symptom of a systemic problem with the environment at the Washington Post.
When Rahm is a good martini, life is good indeed. The best part? They won’t listen to him.
Indeed, and we shouldn’t be hoping for “the best possible Democrat candidate to run against Trump” because what if they win??? Disaster!
And based on the polls referred to previously on 3 Martini, if a majority of people think “Medicare For All” is really “Medicare For All Except Me,” they might still push it through.
