The release of ChatGPT, a powerful on-line AI tool, has excited anxieties in the chattering class that automation has finally arrived for “knowledge work,” much as it did for manual labor in the last century. It has, and that’s a good thing for everyone.

Of ChatGPT’s release and knowledge work’s decline.
But fear not, fair souls, for automation’s rise
Brings efficiency, not demise. Let us embrace
This change and see the future with clear eyes.
