Thoughts and Prayers and Politicians

Jon and Stephen offer their thoughts on New Zealand and prayers for the mourning. Stephen explains why he’s muting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jon explains why Beto would make a better life coach than president. The intro/outro and Jon’s song of the week is “X” by New Zealand band Bailter Space and Stephen’s song of the week is “Palms” by Jangula. Even before I listen to this episode, I have to say that Stephen grew enormously in my estimate by the Tweet he sent to AOC excoriating her for her incredibly stupid and insensitive Tweet.

We love the Conservatarians. Should we tell @redsteeze it’s pronounced “kazəm”?

Stephen needs to learn the difference between prototypical and archetypal.

Good podcast! Loved the guys’ takedown — and forensic breakdown — of Cortez and Beto.

Despite Stephen’s (admittedly qualified) endorsement of the idea of governmental reparations for slavery last week (an endorsement that validates the notion of Blood Guilt, IMO), I find that this is one show I consistently look forward to listening to.

Because Jon and Stephen are terrific: Bright, witty, friendly, and, above all, insightful.

The jewel in the Ricochet crown? It’s certainly one of them. Bravo guys!

Done, Stephen. I muted the bar tender from queens, her account and various names. Should make Twitter a lot better for me.
