Journalists, Juries, and Judgements

Our non-partisan press wants to dox DC jurors, but plays the victim in 300 coordinated anti-Trump op-eds. And the Colorado Human Rights Commission targets a Christian cake artist again even though SCOTUS smacked them down two months ago.

The intro/outro song is “Short Skirt/Long Jacket” by Cake. Stephen’s song of the week is “Happiness Reigns” by Cullen Omori and Jon’s song of the week is “Work/Life, Gym Etc” by The Shifters. To listen to all the music featured on The Conservatarians, subscribe to our Spotify playlist!

I don’t disagree with Stephen at all about the press/media. Obviously they mostly slant left, and you can see the double standard everywhere. And I get that this is the professional world in which he lives, so it affects him a lot. But lordy, guys, this gets hard to listen to after a while, because it’s just constant airing of grievance, and on some level it just isn’t healthy to dwell on the subject week after week. It reminds me of why I stopped listening to a lot of talk radio: every week we talk about how unfair everything is, and we all get angry about it. Ugh. How about we hear more about the issues, and less about how unfairly the press covers it.

Some of us recognize that song from Cake as the theme song for Chuck.
