Greg Gutfeld and the Best Albums of 2017

Greg Gutfeld returns to The Conservatarians to count down the best albums of 2017, along with Ricochet Editor-in-Chief Jon Gabriel and Fox News contributor Stephen Miller. Greg hosts the aptly named “The Greg Gutfeld Show,” “The Five,” and has written … six or eight books. We set aside the news of the day to focus on what really matters: music. You can listen to all these songs on our special Best of 2017 Spotify playlist.

Our intro and outro music is “Los Ageless” by St. Vincent. To listen to all the music featured on The Conservatarians, subscribe to our Spotify playlist! You should also subscribe to this podcast and give it five-star, glowing reviews on iTunes.

I liked Greg’s picks a lot, especially Beaches. I have him to thank for introducing me to Devin Townsend. Listening to Lea Porcelain is like going back to the late 80s with New Order, The Cure, and Sisters of Mercy. Kedr Livanskiy sounds interesting, and I’m now following her on Spotify. Thanks, @exjon for that rec. I hadn’t listened to Slowdive since Souvlaki; it’s good to know they are still making great music. I loved Gary Numan when I was in college, so The Horrors are right up my alley. Kudos to @redsteeze for picking The Shout Out Louds to close out this playlist – it’s nice to finish on an up note. The only clunker is Kendrick Lamar. I don’t care how many awards he is going to win, I will never like hip hop.

Did anyone catch my fellow Nashvillians’, All Them Witches, new album, Sleeping Through the War? “Bulls” is what the Allman Bros. Band would sound like if they were shoegazers.

Any time I got a press release that said “shoegaze”…circular file.

    I still love you.
