The Conservatarians welcome Frank J. Fleming, author of the new novel Sidequest: In Realms Ungoogled. Frank is the creator of the popular satire site IMAO, a humor columnist for the New York Post and USA Today, and also works as an electrical and software engineer. Jon and Stephen then discuss a questionable excerpt from James Comey’s tell-all book and New York’s Chick-Fil-A invasion.

The intro/outro music and Jon’s song of the week is “Silmät kiinni ja kädet ristiin” by Teksti-TV 666. Stephen’s song of the week is “Mario Lanza” by Paddy Hanna. To listen to all the music featured on The Conservatarians, subscribe to our Spotify playlist!

Conservatives and libertarians dissatisfied with any Republican President should reflect upon the fable of King Log and King Stork.

For example, George W. Bush left much to be desired, but he wouldn’t have created Obamacare, he wouldn’t have pulled out of Iraq prematurely, he wouldn’t have undermined Israel, he wouldn’t have intentionally promoted Iranian hegemony, he wouldn’t have drawn a “red line” in Syria and done nothing to back it up.

If Trump makes you unhappy, let your mind dwell on what Hillary Clinton would have been up to, by this time.

“Graphics Interchange Format” contains three words of Latin etymology. In Latin-descended words, the G is soft in front of high vowels (I, E) and hard before low vowels (O, A, U).

    ERGO: “jif”

“Gift” is from Old Norse, so the pronunciation/spelling conform to a different rule set.

It’s fun hearing Peter Robinson’s voice come on during the alt-rock guitar jam, which sounded pretty cool by the way.
