Bury My Heart at 23 and Me

Elizabeth Warren falls for Trump’s troll and loses big with a genetic test showing her to be 1/1024th Native American or Peruvian or something. And the Saudis (allegedly) murder Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Should Trump punish them and, if so, how?

The intro/outro song and Jon’s song of the week is “The Celebration” by Film School. Stephen’s two songs of the week are “Bad Art & Weirdo Ideas (Quiet Slang)” by Beach Slang and “New York (Piano Version)” by St. Vincent. Prolly won’t have a chance to listen to the podcast, but I just wanted to give a shout out to whoever came up with the title. Absolutely perfect. I shall be chuckling about this for a long time.

This might be the best podcast ever! I don’t think you missed a single cliche. Well done gentlemen…..well done.

Those few leftist websites who criticized Warren for her “racial appropriation” did so because she’s not locked in as the next Democratic candidate yet. They can still substitute someone less vulnerable to attack.

Also, she’s not black, so it’s relatively safe to attack her — for now.

This otherwise exemplary podcast contains this blot, ca. 43:30:

“He [Trump] won’t badmouth Putin. Now he won’t badmouth the Crown Prince Assad [sic*]. I honestly think this comes because of Trump’s business interests. … I think he has business interests in Russia that he doesn’t want to jeopardize. And he has business interests in Dubai and Saudi Arabia he doesn’t want to jeopardize.”

This sort of MSNBC effusion reminds us that sometimes libertarians appear to be living on another planet. N.B.: Killing hundreds of Russians in Syria and overriding Obama’s ban on lethal aid to Ukraine is not how you get Putin to come up sweet.

*He probably meant Mohammad bin Salman.

Well, I can now imagine ol’ Liz getting drunk on Chardonnay and singing the karaoke of this song:
