I hope Dr. H is right, but when he says that Trump will speak “softly,” I have to wonder on what that prediction is based. Hopefully, it’s more than just wishful thinking.
Doesn’t he always start out positively and without harshness or insults in gestures and words of reaching out? It’s that he strikes back quickly and without great subtlety. His stick, for now anyway, is limited to words and access.
No. Take, for example, his harsh attacks on the intelligence agencies for delivering a message that he didn’t want to hear. It may turn out that he’s right and the agencies are playing a false game, but we don’t know that yet and I doubt that he does.
