    As president of Purdue University, Mitch Daniels has championed academic freedom:

    Stating his desire to avoid the financial cost of a formal inauguration, Daniels instead wrote an “Open Letter to the People of Purdue” in which he documented the challenges facing higher education and outlined his initial priorities such as affordability, academic excellence and academic freedom.

    It would have been nice if Victor or Troy would have used Mitch as an example for other higher education schools to follow.
