Evidence shows that there’s more loneliness and isolation in the United States than ever before. Former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy has even said that we have an epidemic of loneliness in this country. How do we turn back this trend? In this episode, Arthur is joined by thought leader and author of The Lonely Century: How to Restore Human Connection in a World That’s Pulling Apart, Noreena Hertz. Together, they discuss some practical solutions to combat the loneliness epidemic and help those we love who may be suffering.

Anyone super skeptical of her anti-capitalist stance? The way she jumps out of the way of talking about anti-fa is worrisome. She also jumped out of the way to condemn the USSR and she failed to understand that Asian-style capitalism is mostly an excuse for crony-
capitalismcorporatism. Her book might be good but I don’t think it’s worth wading through all the lefty nonsense.Everything suggestion she has for improving things doesn’t assume that government is corrupt and flawed. Maybe she can help figure out the problem of loneliness though but she never talks about the family.
Also, love is very often terrible and it should not be trusted.
The first art of Happiness podcast that left me less happy after listening to it.

The guest was a bit of a lefty
I think we should listen to lefties as well. But did Arthur Brooks cave like a Never Trumper?
