For decades, I’ve referred to the 1999 Reese Witherspoon high school comedy, Election, as Hillary Clinton: The Early Years

Typical of Hollywood, of course, we see ruthless, underhanded Tracey Flick joining up with a Republican Congressman at the end.

Witherspoon has marked the 20th anniversary of the movie in an amusing way. Here’s the story:

I guess I’m about the same age as Sonny.

Office Space was one of my go-to dorm room movies and I still quote it today with friends. I was lucky enough to attend the 10 year anniversary screening with the cast. Mike Judge is awesome!

In addition to Office Space, the other movies we always watched in college are all around the same time period: Big Lebowski and American Psycho.

I didn’t see Office Space until 2017, and was a little underwhelmed.

Missing from the discussion was Toy Story 2, Blast From the Past and The Straight Story.

The Insider has been in my queue for some time. Just moved it up.

Never did see Fight Club. Should I?

Long discussion about movies from 1999 and no one mentioned The 13th Warrior. I’m a little surprised.
