Ladies,
On the subject of little kids “taking a knee” during sporting events, I think you hit the nail on the head at right about the 55-minute mark: these kids are students, and part of their education on the athletic field is learning about respect. One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about my own children’s high school sports participation has been the respect shown coaches, opposing teams — and, yes, the flag and nation.
On many occasions I watched my sons drop to one knee on the football field when an opposing-team player was injured, and then listened as fans on both sides applauded while the injured player limped off the field. Organized sports inculcate honor and respect, even for opponents, whether in victory or defeat. I think this is a unique and invaluable feature of high school sports.
And that lesson is completely negated when ignorant little kids are allowed to emulate shallow and ignorant adults by disrespecting their country. Education fail, in my opinion.
Enjoyed the show. And yes, keep talking politics.

My son is playing freshman football this year, and I am SO impressed with the values being taught by the coaches. Respect — for your opponent, your teammates, your coaches, your school, your community. It’s a beautiful thing to watch.
