I had to laugh when you mentioned something about being afraid to make commitments. The first thing I thought was, “Hey wait . . . guys are supposed to be the ones afraid to make commitments—what would her hisband think? Then, you quickly backtracked in case your husband was listening (Or something like that. I listen to the podcasts at work, so there are lots of distractions).
The talk of commitments reminded me of when I first proposed to my wife. We had been drinking, sitting on her front porch (we both owned houses in the same new subdivision, and met at a pick-pickin’ the builder threw for the homeowners—how romantic!). Anyway, I had to propose to her twice. Why? We had to make sure it wasn’t the beer talking or the wine listening . . .
I love that!! I’m assuming everything worked out?
We’re celebrating our 30th anniversary the last week in June this year. We have a 9 day New England/Canada cruise set up the first week in June. Hope to hook up with a very special Ricochetti (and we hope she can get away from work long enough to meet us for lunch!).
Oh, I cooked V-Day dinner tonight: 10 oz Chateaubriand, twice-baked potatoes, and broiled aparagus (she cooked that). A little cabernet sauvignon to go with it and … LOL early beddy-bye to read.
A shame we’re not a lot younger … (Smoke ’em while you got ’em.)
Our 30th anniversity is this June, so we’re stilling working things out. Hehe . . .
