Hey, There Seems to Bee a Double Standard!

The ladies are talking all about mean girls and double standards this week. Was Roseanne ever a conservative and was ABC looking for a reason to cancel her show? Should the always-unfunny Samantha Bee face more serious consequences for her foul mouth comment about Ivanka? And will media double standards assure Trump’s re-election? Also, what to do about the mean girls who walk among us?

‘April, you have some responsibility here because Rosanne has so many connections to Indiana, right?’

    Whaaaaat?!

    No.

I’m stepping up for all my fellow Hoosiers.

    1. Roseanne Barr is from Utah.

    2. Her show is set in Lanford Illinois.

    3. Tom Arnold is from Iowa. When they were married they opened a restaurant together in his hometown.

I only know of one connection. Lanford is a fictional city. For establishing shots they used pictures of Evansville Indiana.

You have to admit, though, that once Tom Arnold was on the scene the connection to Indiana was made! And April is young enough to have no clue what I was talking about.

That was a great point Kira made about women being catty and vindictive, and that we as women do have to fight our nature. The problem is feminism, of course what else. They want to deny that this is a problem women have , they say it’s sexist to even point it out. Also as a society we are over inflating young girls egos. I have two young daughters and the message is constantly Girls rule, the future is female, girls run the world. So young girls are told they are great and therefore don’t have to fight their nature. Which is why I think women have become more toxic. I have a friend who works in Silicon Valley in a position where she hires people and she told me that she would never hire a woman with kids, because they wouldn’t be as productive, even if her kids were older. Very hypocritical because this chick is a super lefty, feminist, in theory I guess, because when the rubber hits the road with her, she wouldn’t support a women.

Also Teri you are right about finding a good girlfriend. It is difficult but totally worth it.

    Great show as usual ladies

Gah, this is SO true! I have three girls (20, almost 18 and 11) and one boy (15) — schools are constantly lifting up girls and tearing down boys. And the clothes for girls? If it’s not hoochie mama and age inappropriate, then it’s all about girl power. Barf. We mommas sure do have a fight on our hands to make sure our girls — and boys — don’t buy into the nonsense.

    Rant over. Thanks for listening!!
