Do you know which countries your family came from? Have you ever done a DNA test to find out for sure? Sara did one and it has crystallized her family heritage in a way that she can pass along to her children and their children

On one side of her family, the roots in America predate the American Revolution. On the other side, her mother came to the U.S. from Cuba in the 1960s. But she learned other fascinating details that go back several more generations.

What do you think about DNA testing? On one hand, it helps us know our roots and possibly what sort of health issues we are more likely to encounter later in life. We could also discover new family members. On the flip side, there is a risk associated with our DNA being on a database that an adversary could hack. You might also discover some things about your family that you wish you didn’t know.

Join Sara as she shares why it was valuable for her to take the test and even some funny revelations she learned along the way.
