On one side of her family, the roots in America predate the American Revolution. On the other side, her mother came to the U.S. from Cuba in the 1960s. But she learned other fascinating details that go back several more generations.
What do you think about DNA testing? On one hand, it helps us know our roots and possibly what sort of health issues we are more likely to encounter later in life. We could also discover new family members. On the flip side, there is a risk associated with our DNA being on a database that an adversary could hack.
