Sara speaks on the danger of the intelligence community using the Capitol attack as a reason to spy on Americans. She takes listeners back in history where those agencies were found to be spying on Americans and warns of the dangerous precedent the actions set. Later in the show, Gordon Chang shares the latest developments on the Chinese Communist Party and the potential for a real war.

The Soviet Union had a dissatisfied population and a dull economy (kleptocracy) that even so managed to spread its ideology, empower other American enemies, and remain the dominant military threat to the US for decades. So claims that China is internally weak to remain a military threat to the US are not persuasive.

The sheer number of ways US officials empower China over us is stunning. This past week, PJ Media reported that a Chinese company indirectly controls over 100,000 acres of Texas oil rights. A decade ago, articles claimed American missiles relied on Chinese electronics. And now Google and Amazon are permitted to develop AI systems wuth China?

Video Games might be another avenue of Chinese propaganda. The game industry, like Hollywood and other industries, bends over backward to secure access to China’s massive market. Increasingly, Americans play Chinese games with online connections and chat forums.
