Why You Need to Run for Office

Anthony Scaramucci is the Founder and Co-Managing Partner of SkyBridge Capital. He is the author of four books including Goodbye Gordon Gekko and Trump: The Blue-Collar President. And, of course, you know him from his time on President-Elect Trump’s 16-person Presidential Transition Team Executive Committee and stint as White House Communications Director. Anthony talks to Carol Roth about his take on the state of politics, why we need a longer-term view and why he wants you to run for office.

I will listen to this podcast, but honestly “his stint as White House Communications Director” was barely 10 days and he hardly covered himself with glory – or even the appearance of competence. I’m not sure why he’s someone who’s advice is valuable.

The best part of his sudden prominence was bring up more radio play for “Bohemian Rhapsody”

I listened to it, but was not overly impressed. He is saying a lot of things that sound good to conservatives, but it’s pretty obvious his main concern is money. He also does a lot of humble bragging.

Interesting. I wonder how cogent he will be with his new anti-Trump stance. So many Ruling Class / operative / Neo-con-ish conservatives are so bad at it.

I am halfway through this. He is insane. Mandatory voting. Five year plans. Mandatory National Service.

He is just another brainiac Wall Street industrial complex statist. Gated community liberal. Social engineering. This will never work. He is way worse than Trump in this sense.

I just saw him being interviewed by Howard Kurtz. You know what people want? They want agency. He is like the opposite of that. People are also sick of cultural Marxism or whatever you want to call it.

I don’t get how such an educated person can be so non-cogent.

I’ve got to get myself to one of those federal gun shows where I can buy a machine gun without a background check.

Yeah, it’s preposterous that Scaramucci talks about individual rights and within minutes he is advocating forcing people to serve their government.

He is just another ruling class nitwit that knows how to run a hedge fund. He wants to keep everything stable so he can carry on with his lifestyle. These types pollute the Republican Party just a little bit less then the Democratic Party.
