Gentlemen, as always, a superb podcast.

James – appreciate the Apple thread callout.  Per the comparison to geopolitics, we may need a two site solution.  But, we’re not granting Troy the right of return to the non-Apple camp.

I like Rob, though he’s a squish, but he doesn’t see the venality of Obama. Twenty percent of the country is white and hard-left liberal. Another 20% is black or Hispanic, who are either hard-left or simply see conservatives as racists. On the other side, 20% of the country is staunch conservative, and 20% are squishes like Rob. Obama is aiming at the middle of the 20% who won’t want to be viewed as racist homophobes, who have spines of jelly, who have convictions of diarrhea, and who will be cowed into believing this amnesty won’t be the parade of horribles that some predict. And Obama is likely to pull this off because the GOP sucks, and Obama enjoys what I heard Mona Charen or Jay Nordlinger say this week on Need to Know–racial immunity.

At 40:30, Rob describes something he calls “therapizing,” I think. He’s right. In SW Ohio, our local rag is The Cincinnati Enquirer, and far too many of its reporters anymore engaging in this kind of “reporting.” And the worst of theme is a guy named Mark Curnette, the champion of all local illegal immigrants. What’s interesting is that I suspect the editorial board is largely on board with them, but their election endorsements generally back the conservative candidates in a kind of hold-their-noses fashion. I’ve decided that with the endorsements, they try their best to retain their readers while their reporters wear them down with their therapizing.

Power Line had a good post on a document released to Judicial Watch that addressed Rob’s question of whether Sharyl Attkisson have ever been asked why she isn’t on the team.  A quote from the email: “I’m also calling Sharryl’s editor and reaching out to Schieffer. She’s out of control.”

James, I don’t think I have ever heard – or seen – the word “coalesce” used as an active transitive verb.

Excellent podcast although I, too, looked around to see if the kettle was on. However whatever that song at the end was it was horrible. I’ve enjoyed fighting cats better, I thought it would never end.

Re: Mr. Cosby and the revelations of his alleged behavior only just now surfacing after all these years…is it beyond the realm of possibility that NBC network executives did all they could from allowing these allegations to take hold? Perhaps even intimidating young actresses who Mr. Cosby promised to mentor and then allegedly raped? Mr. Cosby was a sacred cash cow for the network with the No. 1 hit show for many seasons. Wouldn’t they protect that? I realize that this may denigrate the renowned honorable behavior of network television executives and for that I humbly apologize. What was I thinking?

Radiohead is often something of an acquired taste. Give it a chance.

What the heck do you mean, “How do we break the government’s capture of the media”?  Elect a Republican, of course!  You’ll see the adversarial press return with a vengeance.  Sheesh.

I wish you could have talked with Sharyl Attkisson for blocks. I can think of a dozen more questions to ask.

Blue Yeti–where is the correspondence on podcast feed problems? My podcasts are not downloading on my iPhone, and now I cannot locate the advice given to fix it.

Cosby was an idol of mine growing up and I am crushed as well and have been keeping my distance with the news much like Troy had mentioned. I can no longer look at him the same. If true, what horrible evil acts by such a gifted man. Makes faith in humanity almost impossible.
