For example, one option needs to be something like “Vote for a Republican primary opponent, if there is one. But ultimately, vote to re-elect the incumbent Republican scum if necessary because voting for a Democrat is never wise.”

Even if that’s meant to be a jab, the fact is that the Long Poll is shown on other pages besides the Ricochet Podcast ones, so it really can’t rely on people having listened.
And “vote the bum out” is a bit pointless. That’s what happens IF the incumbent loses the election. No one person’s vote accomplishes that. And what if there is no primary opponent? Voting for a primary opponent, IF THERE IS ONE, is rather different from voting for the Democrat (IF there is one – often there isn’t) or not voting at all.
Could you release an additional podcast which is just the interview with Lomborg. I’d like to have it available to send to AGW alarmists. Thanks!
I don’t think there is anything in this latest incident that justifies impeachment, but if something came up and my Senator voted for it I do not think he would have to be described as a bum. There is a Remnant of us here on Ricochet that think the Quisling behavior of so many to date is what makes them bums.
Why doesn’t the electorate vote better? Why is that?
Just because James didn’t share the heartache of disposing with a lifetime of his father’s belongings doesn’t mean he hasn’t felt it. It is hard work, to be sure, but it’s so tough to look at every single item and know what to keep, what to sell or donate and what to pitch. When my mother died some 20 years ago, I discovered a lovely little box full of valentines from classmates she had received in the third grade! They wound up at the top of the heap in a garbage can, but I went to bed that night thinking about why in the world she had saved those valentines above all others. Don’t ask me why, but the next morning I went outside to the garbage, retrieved that little box and still have it to this very day. No doubt, one day my own children will shake their heads in wonder when they come across that box in my house as they go about the task of deciding what to keep, what to donate, what to sell and what to pitch.
They’re very dumb.

I agree with the collection of issues considered Trumpism, I just think he’s an unworthy vessel for people’s hopes and aspirations.

Okay that is a way better answer than I expected.
Michael Malice has this saying, “conservatism is just progressivism going the speed limit.” I think he’s right, but few recognize it. We need a much more libertarian economy that disburses prosperity better and people are sick of cultural Marxism or whatever you want to call it. The media is completely in the bag for the statists and the cultural Marxists. So is the education system.
The fact is no Republican is going to lead in this sense.
A flawed vessel, certainly. But unworthy? Seems like for that “charge” to “stick” would require being able to name any of the other primary candidates from 2016 who would have credibly done as well in terms of so many things that they may have talked about a lot but would never actually do.

1931 so maybe the first year of Valentines after the Great Depression? That does seem a bit remote, though. It could very well be one or more names, though, and you wouldn’t know it. My mother and father knew lots of people both in childhood and as an adult that I never met or even heard about.
That seems pretty outdated these days. Maybe some still use it because it’s an easier acronym?
Anyway it’s anthropogenic. Human-caused. Anthropomorphic is human-like. As in anthropomorphizing animals.
