Courting Trouble

This one’s gonna be tough to beat! We’ve got a Tom Wolfe novel playing out in real time. From a corrupt DA to a presidential scandal involving an adult film star. Plus we’ve got fan-favorite John Yoo! Need we say more?

There’s some more AI chatter; and Peter’s ticker is finally working right!

I am not worried about the AI engines regurgitating answers.  The internet is full of monkeys typing and a little more stuff generated by AI engines is just a little more noise to ignore.

In the last few weeks, the announcement banner for the recording session has mentioned trouble getting a guest. I wondered if Julie Kelly was that busy. It would be good to hear about the political prisoners.

So  THE BIG QUESTION of this podcast, by, who else? Of course: Rob Long.  Where does Trump face the greatest legal danger?

Sounds like a question that would be discussed on The View, or Rachel Maddow,  any CNN show or Morning Joe. And John Yoo was obviously salivating over the question like a McRib sandwich, and engaged with gusto. And in so doing, he made a complete fool of himself, discussing how Trump may be in actual legal jeopardy over Jan 6, maybe a little less over classified documents. Georgia does not seem to be on his radar, (though it is on Peggy Noonan’s). That a supposedly serious lawyer would actually think that Trump could or would or should be in jeopardy over Jan 6 simply destroys that lawyer’s credibility. And John Yoo has pretty much destroyed his.

He doesn’t seem to deny, however, that Trump may be in legal jeopardy in Georgia. He overlooked the fact that you have a county prosecutor going after Trump for a federal violation. Illegitimate. John apparently forgot to mention that.

What I take out of this is that Rob is certainly NOT a RINO. He is, rather, a flaming Progressive, and a Never Trumper himself, with utter disdain for Trump and those who voted for him. I suspect he voted for Biden. Did you, Rob? And Hillary. Is that true, Rob?

Did John Yoo vote for Biden and Hillary as well? What is showing is John’s Bush loyalty.  He is so connected to the Bush/Cheney axis (of evil?) that he can hardly contain his Trump loathing, and therein he decompensates.  Liz has succeeded in completely burying the Bush/Cheney legacy (which is vastly different than the Reagan legacy), and discrediting it completely,  showing how that axis never was interested in Constitutional government nor Conservatism, only power. And that lying, cheating and stealing to obtain power is the coin of the realm, even if it takes self-immolation to achieve your ends.  John seems to have endorsed W as the brother of another mother to Clinton, the Corrupt and Powerful Wizard of Ar(kansas). Perhaps he should go back to writing torture memos.

John seems to be laughing through the fall of the Republic, and enjoying every minute of it. His laughing culinary commentary on this topic is about as appropriate as Biden’s ice cream comments on the Nashville shootings.

Perhaps John should spend more time on the Andrew Craven show telling us how the 2020 election was not stolen. Or the 2022 election. One wonders if he has seen the information on all those unemployed multiple Democrat donors that funded Warnock in Georgia last year to the tune of more campaign funds raised than anyone else in the election cycle. And maybe John has inside information on the chain of custody of all those drop-box mule stuffed ballots in Fulton County (no one else does). And maybe he takes that Fulton County grand jury foreperson seriously.

Trump wanted him to find some illegally cast or counted votes as grounds to stop the certification.

    A reasonable request.

Mark Davis had already tipped them off to plenty of votes. He tracked 50k of them in fact.

Why doesn’t Georgia want to uphold its own law?

And Cleta Mitchell had them ready to present to a court, but Kemp and Raffesperger blocked any court hearing at all.

When someone was just indicted…..this seems like the pertinent next question no matter who it is.  The answer could be “no where” or in one of these places.  Oh but your point is since it’s the dear leader that you aren’t allowed to even ask the question??  Hope you aren’t on his legal team.

Did we listen to the same interview? When you say “John,” is this the man you’re referring to? The man who called Trump “The Defender in Chief?”

So, you think the charges against Trump are legit? And the special counsel on classified documents? And the Jan 6 investigations? Along with the Russia hoax and the Mueller investigation? And the Impeachments? And the Fulton County special Grand Jury? You should have remained silent and left us in doubt.

Never has. Never will. Georgia demands consistency, kind of like Louisiana, where the informal State motto is :  We don’t tolerate corruption by our public officials— we DEMAND it. So Georgia demands corrupt elections.

I specifically said the answer to the question could be “no where”, as in there is no threat.  I’m saying it’s the obvious question to ask after someone is indicted.  I am not saying the charges are legit.  You should have remained silent until you read my actual comment

“Legal jeopardy” — Remember, Stalin’s famous comment, that it doesn’t matter who votes, but who counts the ballots.

The analogous observation in the field of law is that, if you fix the jury, then the law and the evidence don’t matter.
