With Jonah traipsing about somewhere in the Alaskan wilderness, David French takes over the hosting duties to welcome David Bahnsen back on. David and David talk COVID, policy, and faith. After a jab at Jonah — will he really write a book on bigfoot erotica? — the Davids discuss team good vs. team lesser evil, noting that while Scripture anticipated the Assyrians, it didn’t predict Hillary Clinton. All hail King Dave!

I agree with the guest about free trade. The complete abandonment of free trade at the altar of Trumpism is a big deal for me and I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one. I grew up in Pittsburgh and so many of my Trump supporting relatives were so happy when steel companies rehired people due to the tariffs only to lay them all off when the steel component costs went up when China retaliated against the steel tariffs.

Doesn’t that just show that they shouldn’t be getting the steel components from China either?

That may be required in his mind, otherwise how can he justify himself?
