Listened to the Byron York podcast this morning and now listening to this. Do these people live on the same planet?

I like both of these guys. I understand that they are both essentially NeverTrumpers whether they deny it or not. There is obviously a real disconnect on the right in terms of what exactly was said during the conversation between Trump and the Ukrainian president. I really feel like @Kim K in terms of whether I am on the same planet. Very credible people, really, brilliant people have remarkable interpretations of what actually was said and its significance. I am completely confused as beside these two, I am a follower of Byron York, Andrew Klavan, John Hinteracker, and a host of other right wing commentators. The absolute dicotomy that exists in the opinions about Trump and his legal/political culpability around this issue is more than confusing. I don’t want the president removed from office. I don’t want a Democrat elected to the presidency in 2020. My feelings are torn asunder, as I am sure are many others’. I would like to believe that this is just another of those ridiculous charges made by the Dems over the last two and a half years, but when I hear very credible scholars and legal experts like French express their concerns, it is hard to trust fully in the version I would most like to believe. This is a toughy. Trump doesn’t make it easy for anyone.

Having said that, I have found that certain commentators seems to out perform themselves when in dialogue with certain others. Notably, I find that Ben Shapiro is far better, far more interesting to listen to when he is talking to another great thinker. I cannot tolerate it when he is just freewheeling it on his own. I like both Jonah and David, but in combination, speaking together, they are really excellent, exceeding their best efforts in other contexts. I can see where this conjoining will make The Dispatch a very important part of the conservative movement.

I was going to listen but instead decided to chew on that nice big piece of tinfoil I’ve been saving for a special occasion. I’m just not interested in what the Bulwark has to say.

So… the Steel dossier didn’t have anything to do with the investigation into the Trump campaign, and if it did it was all above board. … Give me a break.

My understanding is that the Russian’s really weren’t trying to get Trump elected so much as sew seeds of discontent. I’d say they got a lot for their $50,000. And if anyone needs some propaganda on social networks, they can apparently do worse than hire ‘Macedonian Content Farmers’. Who knew social media was so useful to get out the votes of rural older white people?

And it wouldn’t have really worked if the Dems hadn’t been thrashing around for an explanation of why Hillary lost and started screaming “Russians!” like a 1950’s Bircher.

I normally agree with everything that Goldberg and French say but the Russians had very minimal impact on electing Trump. They didn’t have even close to enough money to make more than a blip and I doubt they even did that. I worked in digital advertising finance for 10+ years so I’ve seen a good bit of impact of digital ads.

The answer is quite obvious, Byron York is an actual journalist who does much of his own reporting.

Maybe instead of “Never Trumpers” a better name would be “Trump Truthers.” Like with “9//11 Truthers” and all the “If you REALLY knew the TRUTH about Trump then you’d know/understand…”

You picked a name too quickly. Instead of The Dispatch, you should go with Human Scum.
