Kevin Williamson is a man of mystery: he’s an “Eisenhower libertarian,” he’s been accused of being a D.C. insider (he lives in Texas), and (most famously) he’s a former staff writer for The Atlantic even though they only gave him one byline before firing him. Life in Kevin’s Fortress of Solitude has stayed mostly the same – even in the midst of a pandemic. Lucky for us, that means he had time to talk to Jonah about his unique political perspective, the role of government in a crisis, and how his “libertoid” opinions help him solve those mysteries of his.

Is that likely? As far as I know, VDH thinks Trump is fine.

I wonder if Kevin Williamson realizes how often he smacks his lips – or whatever that noise is – while talking, and how noticeable it is?

Also, Jonah: on MASH it was an unexploded bomb, dropped from and airplane. Not an artillery shell. (Big hint, even if you don’t remember from the episode: It may be different now, but in the 1950s, artillery shells didn’t have wires to cut.)

Regarding the apparent lack of popularity of Kevin’s book, “The Case Against Trump:”

Maybe VDH’s book “The Case For Trump” was better?

And especially now, I might add a subtitle to VDH’s book: “And The Case Against Any Democrat Nominee Running Against Trump.”
