Trump has built miles of wall — new wall.

I think that the servers Trump was referring to were not the DNC server or Hillary’s email server. I think he was referring to servers that hackers allegedly (according to Crowdstrike) used to hack the DNC server.

@milkchaser — we’ve had a “fence”, metal barrier or whatever you want to call it between San Diego and Tijuana (i.e. San Diego Sector) since the 1990s.

Under the 2006 Secure Fence Act a barrier that goes across the sector — was included in the 650 miles of fence built.

The fence the President was admiring was a replacement fence — not a fence across new area — built with money appropriated in 2012 —

It is a double barrier — has some ecological and drug interdiction issues —

But don’t forget that area is also home to the largest land border port — San Ysidro where hundreds of thousands of “legal” crossings take place daily.

Most of the rest of the fencing the President envisions will require seizure of private lands — especially in Texas — which means years of court battles.

@milkchaser the concern the President has shared is that the servers used to diagnosis the DNC hack (owned by Crowdstrike) were located in Ukraine — and thus inaccessible to FBI.

Tom Bossert, the first Trump Homeland Security Adviser, on ABC This Week said he found the President’s obsession with this debunked theory is “deeply disturbing”

Mr. Bossert said he was “deeply disturbed” that Mr. Trump nonetheless tried to get Ukraine’s president to produce damaging information about Democrats.

Mr. Bossert’s comments, on the ABC program “This Week” and in a subsequent telephone interview, underscored the danger to the president as the House moves ahead with an inquiry into whether he abused his power for political gain. Other former aides to Mr. Trump said on Sunday that he refused to accept reassurances about Ukraine no matter how many times it was explained to him, instead subscribing to an unsubstantiated narrative

The facts are that Crowdstrike is a reputable international firm located (I believe) in San Diego — which does all types of cyber security for world class customers. Yes, it’s owner is a naturalized American from Eastern Europe —

If the President had just “let it go” after the Mueller Report — we wouldn’t be here!

And the nation’s business is not getting done because of it.

Not to repeat myself, my greatest fear is a President Warren armed with the precedent of all of this defiance of Congress.
