Radio Deplorable opens the holiday season with an enjoyable chat with the always interesting Doc Jay (@docjay).  As Dave wrote, “Doc is always interesting to listen to and his perspective never fails to simultaneously entertain, intrigue, and inform.”  The conversation runs the gamut from how physicians handle giving bad news to their patients, to Christmas in New Orleans and so much more.  And one of Ricochet’s producers even gets in on the action as well.  You’ll enjoy this one.

Having no script and ad libbing it leads to too many “ya know” phrases from me.   I don’t say that often during the normal course of face to face.

Dave is such a gracious interviewer though,  so it’s a fun relaxing time.

Congrats on your new sponsor Dave !

Thanks, Doc!  It was less of an interview and more of a relaxing conversation amongst friends, and so I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Even the part where I shot my drink though my nose from laughing.

That’s a great way of putting it, actually. When I get to interview Ricochet folks, it really is like a little meetup!  I hadn’t thought of it in exactly those terms, but that describes it perfectly.

Disappointing.  A “Doc Jay Kind of Christmas” had me anticipating a Hunter S Thompson-esque descent into opiate-fueled mayhem.

Although a nice shout-out for homemade opiate-laced Christmas drinks.  Thanks Doc!

Grampers here doesn’t imbibe anything mind-altering.  Unless ice cream is mind-altering.  Then I’m in a box under an overpass mumbling “Americone Dream something-something…..zzzz”
